Hello Viking Families,
The end of the first semester is fast approaching. We are finishing up Homecoming week and it has been great to see the school spirit demonstrated by students and staff! Many thanks to our student council, cheerleaders, and Vikettes for coming together to make it a great week. It has been a great fall semester for our football, volleyball, tennis, and cross country teams. Navarro is proud of the improvement these programs have made and the hard work put in by our coaches and student athletes. We are excited for the start of the basketball season as we kick off the winter sports season. Marching season is also winding down and our band experienced great success as well. Thank you to our fine arts teachers and students who put in so many hours to represent our campus! We look forward to the fine arts events to come as we move through the school year.
I want to remind everyone we have five weeks left until final exams. Please reinforce to your students the importance of good attendance and working with teachers to get those grades up as high as you can! We will also have EOC retests in December. Students and families will receive a school messenger letting them know when they will have a test. Together, we will finish the fall semester strong!
The Thanksgiving break is fast approaching and we would like to invite our students and families to join us for a Thanksgiving Community Dinner on November 16th from 5-7 in the Navarro Cafeteria. We are excited to bring back this tradition we had to forego during the pandemic. Please join us for some good food and conversation.
Please be on the lookout for communications from our counseling team. We will start the choice sheet process in the coming months. Navarro has programs for all students. Reach out to your student’s counselor with any questions about course offerings.

Hola familias de Navarro,
El final del primer semestre se acerca rápidamente. ¡Estamos terminando la semana de Homecoming y ha sido genial ver el espíritu escolar demostrado por los estudiantes y el personal! Muchas gracias a nuestro consejo estudiantil, porristas y Vikettes por unirse para hacer de esta una gran semana. Ha sido un gran semestre de otoño para nuestros equipos de fútbol, voleibol, tenis y campo traviesa. Navarro se enorgullece de la mejora que han logrado estos programas y del arduo trabajo realizado por nuestros entrenadores y estudiantes atletas. Estamos emocionados por el comienzo de la temporada de baloncesto mientras comenzamos la temporada de deportes de invierno. La temporada de marchas también está llegando a su fin y nuestra banda también experimentó un gran éxito. ¡Gracias a nuestros maestros de bellas artes y estudiantes que dedicaron tantas horas para representar a nuestro campus! Esperamos con ansias los eventos de bellas artes a medida que avanzamos en el año escolar.
Quiero recordarles a todos que nos quedan cinco semanas hasta los exámenes finales. ¡Refuerce con sus estudiantes la importancia de una buena asistencia y trabajar con los maestros para obtener esas calificaciones lo más alto posible! También tendremos nuevas pruebas EOC en diciembre. Los estudiantes y las familias recibirán un mensajero escolar que les informará cuándo tendrán una prueba. ¡Juntos, terminaremos el semestre de otoño con fuerza!
Las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias se acercan rápidamente y nos gustaría invitar a nuestros estudiantes y familias a unirse a nosotros para una Cena Comunitaria de Acción de Gracias el 16 de noviembre de 5 a 7 en la Cafetería Navarro. Estamos emocionados de traer de vuelta esta tradición a la que tuvimos que renunciar durante la pandemia. Únase a nosotros para disfrutar de una buena comida y conversación.
Esté atento a las comunicaciones de nuestro equipo de asesoramiento. Comenzaremos el proceso de hoja de elección en los próximos meses. Navarro tiene programas para todos los estudiantes. Comuníquese con el consejero de su estudiante si tiene alguna pregunta sobre las ofertas de cursos.
