Capital City
The capital city of France is called Paris. Paris is the most beautiful city with many museums, street cafes and many more. It is famous for arts and culture. Paris was the first city to be built on an island near a river. Many tourists from all around the world come to Paris to see the Louvre, which is the largest art gallery. Paris is also the city of love.
Flag
The flag in France is called a tricolour because it has three colours: blue, red and white. Red and Blue are the colours of Paris and white is a royal colour in the flag.
- Blue represents Liberty
- White represents equality and
- Red represents Fraternity.
currency
The previous French National currency was Franc. France introduced a new currency with all the other European countries and now is called Euro.
Festival and Religions
Religion: Most people in France are Roman Catholic and everywhere around towns and Major cities there are churches and cathedrals.
Festivals: one example of a festival is called Mardi Gras which means ''Fat Tuesday''. It is held every year on a lent day. Every Mardi Gras day they eat Pancakes made with lot of eggs and butter.
Food
Many people in France close their shops at lunch time, to go home and eat lunch with their family and friends. In France there are many small farms. French farms produce many different foods. In France they sell many wines and cheeses all over the world. They have made over 400 different kinds of cheese.
