Graduation Parades a HUGE Success!
Traditional Graduation Information & Picture Pick Up Info
Dear Class of 2020,
I want to take this opportunity to once again thank the students, families staff, school administration and communities for organizing and participating in the newly created and wildly population graduation parades held in May. I have received such positive and encouraging feedback on these non-traditional, personalized events and am anxious to see what role these events play in graduation events for future classes.
Yesterday in his daily Covid-19 update, Governor Justice and the WVDE provided information on graduations and outdoor events as well as required and recommended actions to be implemented for the health, safety, and welfare of students, families, staff and community members who may attend. Having just received this information makes if difficult to adequately prepare for June graduation events. At this time, we will regroup with student and school leadership to determine if July traditional ceremonies are still desired by our students, plan accordingly and communicate that to you.
REMINDER: Main Street Martinsburg invites you to visit their Class of 2020 Senior Picture Celebration displayed in business storefronts throughout the downtown area. Beginning June 22nd, pictures are available for graduates to pick up from the business or from the Main Street office located in the Hub Suites, 142 North Queen Street.
Please know that as more information is available regarding traditional graduation ceremonies, I will be communicating with you.
Stay safe, and enjoy your summer.
