Current Happenings at IPS

Kia ora whanau,

We have had an exciting start to Term 4 with lots happening. Some of the students have been involved in AWE Swimming at the Kaweroa Pools, learning a variety of swimming skills and techniques.

We have also had students involved in Tennis development, with very positive reports back from the tutor and students.

Our gardening crew have been busy planting potatoes, cabbages, cucumbers, pumpkins (giant and regular), courgettes, radishes and carrots. We are looking forward to seeing these grow over the next few weeks.

Our classes are getting ready for our Mini Market Gala next Friday . Please see below for further details.

Many thanks to the new students, staff and families who came to our Powhiri on Tuesday - it is nice to formally welcome you all into our IPS family.

The Powhiri was followed by presentations to students who achieved awards in both Cross Country and Speech events. Congratulations to all.

Farewell Mrs Helen Carswell

It is with mixed feelings we announce that Mrs Helen Carswell is leaving at the end of this year. Helen has been with our school for 9 years and has made a positive difference to all the students she has had in her care. We have been fortunate to have Helen with us at IPS as a Classroom Teacher and also a Team Leader of the Junior Team. We wish Helen all the very best for her new position as a teacher at St Joseph's in New Plymouth. Thank you, Helen, for all you have done and the difference you have made to many students and staff during your extensive time with us, we wish you and your family all the very best for the future.

Mini Gala / Market - 2 November 2018 3:30 - 5:30pm

Please come along and support our Mini School Gala / Market. We have a variety of stall and exhibitions. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the BBQ, Dunk the Celebrity (Staff or others) and Quick Fire raffles. This is an opportunity to raise funds while having some fun. We look forward to your support.
