LIS Tiger Talk

Principal's Update
Tiger Families,
Happy New Year! We hope everyone enjoyed their Winter Break. The second quarter ended on Friday, December 16th and report cards are loaded in students ebackpacks today. Please reach out to our staff if you have any questions.
As like many of you, I have been closely following the story and recovery of Damar Hamlin this week. It's clear that minutes matter and being prepared saves lives. Over the last few years, Loveland has created a partnership with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Department of Cardiology and Project ADAM to take the necessary steps to become a "heart safe" school. Last year Loveland HS was designated as the first "heart safe" school in the Cincinnati area. This year, LMS/LIS are working hard to secure that same designation. We are working to make sure that our Emergency Response team has all of the training that they need as well as planning for and implementing the drills throughout the rest of the 2022-23 school year. Stories like Damar's are the reason why we are working to achieve this goal. Whether it is a student, athlete, teacher, visiting adult, etc. we want to be ready and able to save a life.
To all the individuals in our buildings on nights and weekends, below are the locations of AED's on the LMS and LIS campus:
-AED located outside of the LMS Gym near the women's restroom
-Athletic Trainer's AED during sporting events
-AED located outside of our LIS Gymnasium across from our office
Have a good weekend! Go Tigers!

Supplies will be needed each week and be provided by the student. Meeting times are Tuesdays after school, January 24th- March 28th. Sign up through Final Forms.
