The Principal's Post
Vol. 2, Issue 10 - July 2020
PGE- Preparation, Goodwill, & Excellence
The Principal’s Post runs once a month with weekly updates included in the grade level newsletters. Below are the newest dates, resources, and happenings.
As shared during the summer, I will continue to post updates on the first Monday of every month. This is the second summer update for our community.
Note:
When I find myself in an unusual or very unique situation, I find the creativity and goodness in others truly inspiring. As we all are living in a "very unique" global time now, I would like to give a personal shout-out to the very thoughtful and considerate questions and words of encouragement that have come across my desk. I am so very proud of how the Park Glen community has expressed clarity in their concerns, patience with responses, and creativity in navigating the unknowns. The posts that have made it to my desk are seeking answers and encouraging collaborative efforts. Schools are good places and I thank you for working together to help make every moment count!
Parent Feedback Requested by July 12
KISD is planning to open on August 19, 2020 with additional safety protocols in place; parents may also elect to attend school remotely.
2. KISD is requesting parents to please take a few minutes to fill out the form below for each student you have enrolled in Keller ISD. This information will inform the District about your instructional preferences for your student and does not commit you or your student to a given instructional model. Click here to fill out an Instructional Model Intent Form for each of your students. This is an important opportunity for Keller ISD to gain valuable data to help drive our staffing decisions.
3. Parents will receive information closer to the start of the school year regarding how to formally commit to one of these instructional models.
4. The Instructional Model Intent Form will remain open through Sunday, July 12.
