Title III Symposium
Please share registration details with English Learner parents.
- Participation is open to parents.
- Translators will be available.
- Presenters will be notified on June 18, 2021.
- Submit presentation and materials by July 9, 2021.
TELPAS Training Center Closing July 1, 2021
Raters and Verifiers will lose their TELPAS training history if they do not download their certificates of completion.

LPAC Reminders and Updates
- NEW 20-21 Reclassification Guidance Video
- 20-21 EOY LPAC Guidance Checklist
LPAC Parent will continue to be optional through the first 60 calendar days of LEA's school year for the reclassification window.
- This is ONLY for students being considered for reclassification who did not complete all 4 domains of TELPAS.
- If a student scores a 3 or lower in the first section, do not continue the assessment because the student is not eligible to reclassify.
21-22 Annual LPAC Training Reminders
- LPAC Framework training is required annually for all LPAC members.
- Online modules have replaced TEA/ESC training.
- TEA LPAC Framework web-based training and resources are available to train staff or for individual completion.
- ESC Region 11 EL Support plans to offer virtual follow-up Q&A sessions. These sessions will be in a Q&A format and will highlight key need-to-knows. Please note that these sessions will not take the place of the online LPAC modules/annual training. Registration coming soon.
Title III Updates
Title III, Part A Immigrant
- Only (23) LEAs in Texas received an entitlement.
- Region 11 had four LEAs receive funding in 2020-2021. In 2021-2022, only one LEA will receive funding.
- Region 11 PEIMS Immigrant Data: Coded Immigrant and LEP/EL (7,402 students), Coded Immigrant only (1,261 students)

TEA ELPS Academy and Sheltered Instruction Course Updates
- Courses moving to TEA Learn.
- ELPS Academy scheduled to go Live on June 7, 2021, on TEA Learn.
- Sheltered Instruction courses will be revised and rebranded.
- ELPS Academy and Sheltered Instruction courses are optional for LEAs to utilize for training staff members.
