Takeaways from Arise

This virtual forum organized by the USCCB National Advisory Team on Young Adult Ministry gathered over 400 young adult ministry leaders from around the country to share best practices and introduce new skills. St. Pius Young Adult Ministry Gathering
Thursday, January 21
7:00 p.m.
The Young Adult Ministry at St. Pius Tenth Church extends an invitation to their next gathering. The gathering will be rooted in a discussion about the parallels between the Lord of the Rings trilogy and our faith. You're encouraged to watch Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring BEFORE the gathering. Come with one thing from the movie that you felt related to something faith related (eg. a character is a type of God the Father or Christ, an image or object symbolizes sin, etc.). If you can, find a video to share of the scene you're discussing as a reminder of what happens. For more information, click here. To join the gathering, click here.

A Year of Saint Joseph
Marking the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph being declared patron of the universal church, Pope Francis proclaimed a yearlong celebration dedicated to the foster father of Jesus. In a Dec. 8 apostolic letter, the pope said Christians can discover in St. Joseph, who often goes unnoticed, "an intercessor, a support and a guide in times of trouble." To learn more about this year dedicated to Saint Joseph, click here. This week we share a video that will help you learn the Rosary of Saint Joseph.
