The Hall Way...
We hope all of our Northwood mothers had a wonderful weekend and that they got to celebrate (snow and all). Thank you again to our Northwood school community for your continued support. The opportunities for our staff to interact and connect with their students are so important as we finish out the school year. We know that this time of year could be difficult for many as it will not be how it was originally planned. We are looking forward to the fall when we can hopefully see students in person. Let's continue to work together and stay connected as we end the 2019-2020 school year. As we finish up the school year we do plan to celebrate our students' hard work this year. We have been so proud of our students during eLearning and we know they can BE A WARHAWK and finish strong!
Stay healthy, safe, and take care of each other. We are all in this together. Warhawks, We Got This!
-Mrs. Hall
Grading: Fourth Quarter and Final Grades for 2019-2020
Fourth Quarter Grades:
Fourth quarter and rotation five grades will be marked with a “P” for passing or an “I” for incomplete. Students receiving an “I” overall for any course will be required to enroll in, and successfully complete, a summer program to ensure they have been instructed on the necessary skills for next school year. An email will be coming out this week to all parents/students who currently have an I (incomplete) and this impacts. Please encourage your student to turn in any missing work they have so they will not receive an I (incomplete) for fourth quarter.
Final Grades for 2019-2020 School Year:
Final grades for courses will be a cumulative average from quarters 1, 2, and 3. Teachers may bump up a student's final grade due to successful completion of eLearning.
Report cards and final grades will be available through Home Access. Final grades for 2019-2020 are due for teachers on Thursday, May 21st at 4:00 pm. Report cards will be run and available the following Monday.
Please visit HomeAccess to view the current grade reports. Links for instructions and Home Access can be found below.
Student Locker Belonging Pickup is scheduled for May 15th
Thank you to the families that signed up over the last couple of weeks for pick up on this Friday, May 15th. We are finishing up organizing the students' belongings. If you did not sign up yet, please do so by 5 pm on Wednesday using the link below. If you do not wish to sign up we will store your student's belongings safely over the summer and return them in the fall.
Cars will use the north entrance of the school and form a line into the circle drive. We will have signs and staff that will help direct you towards our gym entrance where a staff member will place the items in your trunk. To help with the process, we are asking families to write their student's name on a piece of paper large enough to be held up for staff to see out the window of the vehicle. Please open your trunk as you pull up to the gym in the south lot so we can safely place your items in your vehicle.
We will NOT BE collecting any materials from students at this time. Library books, textbooks, and curricular materials will be collected in the fall. For 8th graders, WNHS will collect your curricular materials in the fall, and send them over to Northwood. The same will go for those 6th graders entering Northwood. We will collect elementary materials and send them over to our feeder elementary schools.
If your student will be moving and transferring to a new school please email Mrs. Dycus in the office at sdycus@wcusd200.org so we can coordinate your transfer and the collection of Northwood materials.
Yearbooks will be Distributed in Fall 2020
Yearbooks will be distributed when we return to the building in the fall. We will send yearbooks that were ordered by 8th graders over to WNHS for distribution as well.
