Alder Weekly Update

June 19, 2022

Message from the Principal

Hello Alder Parents and Families!

We made it! This week we closed out the 2021-22 school year and we did it well!

Our 8th grade dance, Beach Bonfire; Paradise at the Shore was a splendid event! We have some great pictures to share below. We hope your 8th grader had a wonderful time as well and it served to close out their middle school years at Alder Avenue. We also treated our 8th grade to a picnic, including pizza and ice cream on their last day of school. The students loved spending the day with their friends and having this special time to reminisce and in some cases say so long to friend.

A special shout out to our Parents Club for making these events and many others throughout the year possible for our students.

Our staff has been busy packing up their classrooms and getting ready to enjoy a little time off themselves! Although the students finish on Friday, our staff will be here to complete the year on Monday. Administration and their staff will be here throughout the summer, Monday through Thursday. Hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are 7:00am-5:00pm and Thursday, 7:00am-4:00pm.

Our building schedule has changed for the 2022-23 school year. Please see below for details.

It has been a pleasure serving as your Interim Principal. I hope you have a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer!

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS RECOGNITION LUNCHEON

Here is one more picture from this year's Academic Excellence Awards Recognition Luncheon at the Carriage House in Galloway Township. We are so proud of all of our EHT students who were invited to attend and would like to give a special shout-out to our 8th graders from both Alder Avenue Middle School (Carter Chew, Paige Pacquing, Devyn Per) and Fernwood Avenue Middle School (William Eng, Olivia Liang, Belina Zhang). Great job everyone! This recognition was well-deserved!

2021-2022 Promenade

On the last day of school, the entire student body helped us celebrate and cheer on our 8th graders as they took their last steps out of the building as middle-schoolers. We are so proud of you all and know you will achieve great things in high school. Keep reaching for the stars and may high school be your best years yet!
