This week Area 31 will host Enrique Polo de Lara, CEO Salesforce Spain, for a talk on digital transformation in the main industries in Spain. Make sure to join us! On Tuesday, you will have the chance to meet the authors of two reference books for lean entrepreneurs in Area 31. On Thursday we'll hold a Workshop on Behavioral Segmentation exclusive for members of IE's Consumer Analytics Technology Farm. Finally, you are invited to our exciting Venture Network with two more startups looking to ramp up!

As previously announced, after a thorough process of selection we are pleased to announce the startups who will enroll in the incubator at Area 31. New High Impact Online Program (HiOP) on Scaling Up

Get ready for the new HiOP “Startup to Scale Up: A Program On What To Do Once The Company Starts To Grow” launching on June 12th, 2017. The next intake starts on October 2nd 2017. HiOPs are fully online programs designed to be as flexible as possible so that you are able to juggle your workload and daily responsibilities with those of the course. It should take approximately 6 hours of work per week over the 5 weeks course. Please take a look at the program here and help us spread the word. Stay tuned for new programs coming soon.

Venture Day Madrid

Deadline: June 15th

Over the last 5 years, teams that have pitched at Venture Day Madrid have raised over €15M+ in INVESTMENT - this is your chance to become one of them! IE VENTURE DAY is IE Business School’s startup competition where selected startup teams get the chance to pitch to an audience of local and international angel and VC investors. In order to apply, send an Executive Summary to Carmen Corrais, by the end of the day on Thursday, June 15th, 2017. On July 6th 2017 Finalists & Semi-Finalists will pitch at IE Venture Day Madrid

K Startup Grand Challenge

Deadline: June 14th

Last year, the South Korean government launched a startup competition called the "K-Startup Grand Challenge". Its main purpose was to attract and support entrepreneurs from all over the world into Korea. After a successful event in 2016, the Korean government is now holding a 2nd contest event.Any startup company that was founded within the past 5 years with at least one non-Korean shareholder is eligible to apply.

Plataforma Talento El País

A place to spread digital talent and bring it to success. The website of EL PAÍS opens a platform of ideas in its portal #talentodigital. A global space for all innovators who have a project to show. The initiative, powered by Volkswagen, offers a web showcase that will be available to entrepreneurs until September 1 to help them present their proposals and explain them to the world. In addition, the best will find an extra backup. A jury of experts, on the one hand, and readers of EL PAÍS, on the other, will decide which projects choose the two prizes of 15,000 euros each reserved for the best creators. Register here.

Impact Hub ODS Awards

To promote the achievement of the ODS in the business environment, Impact Hub Madrid launches the I Edition of the ODS Impact Awards, which will be awarded to those candidates whose proposal is to develop a social, technological, management, social or environmental. More info here.
