Classroom Organization
My mentor had her classroom set up in pair format. It was very helpful in keeping the learning based in small groups. The students seemed to enjoy this set-up.
Approach
The teacher set the standards and expected the students to follow them. Instead of scolding the class repeatedly, she used positive reinforcement. I believe teachers too often patronize students, which in turn limits their ability.
