Keep the Motivation and Engagement Going SV Plainsmen! We want you to SUCCEED!

Students, please continue working hard in all of your classes. We want to see you PASS everyone of your classes in Quarter 4. Your teachers, counselors, and administrators are here to support you!


Please be sure to look into your IC account for EACH of your six classes. Identify any and all work/assignments/projects that you are missing and focus on getting those turned in and completed! Please stay focused these last few weeks to ensure that you are turning in work and not falling behind.


There are only 16 days of school left until SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You absolutely can get your work completed and earn passing grades in ALL of your classes!

Temporary Covid-19 William S. Hart Union District Grading Policy for Quarter 4/June 2020 has been finalized by the school board.


Students will be able to earn the following grades/marks in their six classes for the 4th quarter:


Letter grades of A, B, C

Credit

No Credit (this means you will not get credits/units for the class)



Be sure you are earning Credit (D grade) or higher in all of your classes SV!



Keep answering those emails and calls from admin and counselors too!

A Message from the SV Library....


The SV Library staff misses seeing our students and hopes they are all doing well. Our book collections will be during the week of May 25th. Details will be announced soon. To prepare, please locate the textbooks and possibly library books that are currently checked out to you/your student. To see your student's list of books, please follow the directions below. Note that we are NOT collecting any softcover, Course 2 or 3 math books or other workbooks. Also, we never charge late fees; fines are only assessed for lost or damaged books. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me. Thank you in advance for returning all of your borrowed materials.



How to see a list of your student’s checked out books:



1. Go to the SV Home page

2. Click on "Library" on the top toolbar or from the site's menu; click on "Library Catalog"

3. Click the word HERE at the top of this webpage to sign in to our library's catalog, then "log in" in the top right corner

4. Username is the student's ID number; the Password is the student's 6 digit birthday MMDDYY

5. Click on the "My Info" tab. You will see a list of any library and/or textbooks the student has borrowed.

EBT Assistance and Resources for Families!

The NEW Pandemic EBT card is for students who are free and reduced lunch. This card will be mailed to families if they're identified as free and reduced in our district and they'll receive up to $365 for each child.


If you need support and/or don't receive a card by May 22, 2020, there will be an application on the DSS website (last link below) where parents can request a new card. They will receive a card each month going forward.

Summer School 2020 will be held virtually and via distance learning!

Summer School will be held July 1, 2020, through July 29, 2020! There are many courses for students to take to support their math and literacy skills! There are some great enrichment courses available for students!

Sierra Vista's Campus is CLOSED and LOCKED! Please continue to communicate with your students that the campus is off limits. We kindly ask that no one comes on campus for any reason. This includes using the basketball courts and fields. If your student enjoys skateboarding, please ask them NOT to climb over/under fences and come on campus to skateboard. It is unsafe for our students to be here unattendend and we don't want to see anyone getting hurt.
