Steps to Heaven and Hell
Luther's Ways of a Saint
The Courage of Luther
Love for Others
This picture is a painting of Luther nailing his 95 Theses to the door of the Church. This shows that Luther takes full credit for his actions, even if the outcome is good or bad.
Martin Luther was a Saint in the way he cared for others and their own well beings. He loved the people around him so much that he risked his life to change the way his friends and community was living. Luther wrote the 95 Theses to take a stance on what he believed in. He took credit for all of it so if the Church got mad; he would be the only one to be blamed, but if the Church was satisfied with his new theological thought, he was still always willing to live up to what he did.
Pure way of God
This picture represents God and his pure way of life. God would want people to think of him and his beliefs on how he actually believed in him. Luther did not agree with the Church because their way of life did not follow the Bible and God's original intentions of living. Luther promised to stay true to God himself. He did not believe in indulgences because he did not agree with taking God for granted. He also disagreed with the leaders of the Church because they used their position to gain their own personal wealth instead of using it for their faith in God. His native faith showed his solid devotion to God.
Luther's Ways of a Sinner
Disobeying the Community
This picture is a photo of a protest. This represents Luther's way of going against his community. His stubbornness of what his friends and acquaintances should believe in showed his insensitive ways to life. Luther went against everyone he knew, because no one else around him seemed to think the same way he did about the Church. His defiance of listening to the Church shows how he could be considered a troubled person. His act of writing the 95 Theses could be viewed as rude and inconsiderate to the Church and even God himself.
Only Accepting of His way of Life
This picture shows Luther's way of not accepting any other religions or beliefs. Luther could be considered a racist person in modern day. He did try to change the way of other people's lives and did not accept people that would not convert to his own religion called "Lutherism". One time, Luther got made at the Jewish because they would not convert. This shows that he is stubborn and wants things to be his way, and also could be considered as a sinner for not accepting other people's beliefs.
Child-like and Critical
This picture shows how Luther was similar to a child in his ill-mannered and not understanding ways. Luther's ways to change the Church were not nice and definitely not adult-like. His act of posting the 95 Theses to the doors of the Church is rude and shows that he is forcing his own ways on the Church. He does not handle his way of trying to convert people formally and does it forcefully instead.
