Fruit and Nut Sale is almost here!

Fruit and Nut Sale Kicks Off Next Week!

Our annual Fruit and Nut fundraiser is a much anticipated event with many repeat customers who look forward to it year after year. The band partners with the Florida Farm Bureau for the freshest quality fruit from across the U.S. Because we buy direct, customers can buy in bulk at prices that are in line with many grocery stores!

This year’s biggest change is ONLINE ORDERING! We’re encouraging ALL customers to place their orders online. Online payments have no fees and customers can credit the student who told them about the sale. You won’t need to collect or turn in anything! We’re providing personalized ad flyers for students to distribute to neighbors and digital information to spread the word on social media and neighborhood bulletin boards. Think about other ways you can get creative about getting the word out.

We typically go into the band classes to explain the sale to students and provide them with sales packets. This year we’ll have a Power Point presentation for them to view in class, and we’ll make it available to parents, as well, via email and the band’s website. Students will also receive a sales packet at the end of rehearsals next week. If your student is not planning to attend rehearsal, you can still drive through the parking lot and pick up your packet. The packet and the Power Point will tell you all you need to know to fundraise safely and successfully. Look for all the details next week!

Operations Update

Special thanks to all the happy workers who came out on Wednesday to assist with the conditioning of our practice field! Our volunteer team moved dirt and filled holes to make the surface safer for our students. Absolutely no one can outwork an Athens Drive Band crew!!
