Message from the Principal
It is wonderful to see students riding their bicycles to school. I would like to remind parents that anyone under 18 MUST wear a helmet. Students who ride scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades have to wear helmets. Everyone who rides a bike also has to be on the right side of the roadway. Students can not ride against traffic. If your child rides a bike, skates, scoots, or blades to school, please ensure that they wear a helmet and are safe.
In December we will have our annual Bike Rodeo for 4th graders to learn all about bicycle safety. 4th graders do not have to bring a bicycle and do not have to know how to ride a bike to participate. But it's definitely more meaningful and fun to have their bicycles during the event. If your 4th grader does not ride a bicycle very often, the upcoming November break would be a great time to start riding again.
I can't think of a better time to express my gratitude to all of our staff members and parents/guardians for their dedication and hard work in supporting our school and our students. It is through everyone's cooperation and commitment that we can provide a caring, supportive learning environment in which all students can grow and enjoy a variety of learning opportunities. Every financial donation and hour spent volunteering makes a difference! Thank you very much!
I wish you and your loved ones a simply wonderful Thanksgiving break!
Mary Katayama,
Principal

When signing in to ParentSquare or changing your password in a browser or mobile app, some of you may receive a version of the following alert.
“Password Reset Required - We detected that your password was exposed in a breach at another company. As a precaution, we do not allow this password to be used to sign in to your account."
Please follow the instructions on the screen to set a more secure password for your account.
We appreciate your cooperation in supporting this added safety measure.
Project Cornerstone - November Book
This month the ABC volunteers will be reading the book Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell. The author reminds the reader to be proud of who they are and what they can do. This book helps students learn about the power of a positive attitude about oneself and a growth mindset. Here are some informational slides and a link to the story.
