Transportation Reminder

Big picture

While masks are optional for all students and staff in the Wentzville School District, masks are required on all school buses per federal requirement. Any student who is not properly wearing a mask will not be permitted to ride the bus.

District staff will work with parents on this issue and if a student is not planning to wear a mask while on the bus, the family will need to make other arrangements.

Free Meals/Reduced Meal Guidelines

Child Nutrition is excited to welcome students back into the cafeterias for the 2021-2022 school year and to announce that breakfast and lunch will be free to all WSD students for the entire school year. For more information regarding our services, menus, a la carte prices visit the Child Nutrition Department website.

As you may have heard, the restaurant supply chain is still suffering delays and shortages across the country. We are part of the same distribution system and have been informed by our distributor to expect cancelations and shortages with our deliveries this year. We apologize in advance if a posted menu item is not available. We will always have a replacement item and will do everything we can to ensure our students have options to choose from. Please reach out to the Child Nutrition Office if you have any questions or concerns.

Big picture
The Wentzville School District has adopted options-based active intruder protocols based on the recommendation of the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. These agencies recommend that all school districts teach students and staff options that may be available to them in an intruder situation. Please take time to review these tips for talking to your child about active intruder situations.

Peachjar Flyer Information

Peachjar is a service we facilitate for community groups to reach our parents and it is a service for parents to see available resources for themselves and their children. There is a disclaimer on every Peachjar email that says the following: "This email has been sent to you by Peachjar on behalf of the Wentzville School District and/or its schools. Flyers from outside organizations are not sponsored by, affiliated with, nor endorsed by the Wentzville School District or its schools."

We do not discriminate as to who can utilize the service (you will see flyers from churches, community organizations and businesses), they simply need to meet the standard of offering a service for students and/or parents. We leave the determination as to whether or not someone feels it is a beneficial service and if they want to use it to you, the stakeholder. You also always have the option to opt out of receiving emails through Peachjar at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any of their emails.
