Press Release for "Into the Woods"

EAST POINT, GA- Tri-Cities High School’s Visual & Performing Arts Magnet Program presents “Into the Woods” March 5th -March 8th, 2020 in the Viola Turner Theater at Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia. As this magical musical brings back memories, please be ready to be amazed and buckle up for your journey down memory lane.

“Into the Woods” is a modern-day musical that follows the classic fairy tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. The play has a unique twist that is both mysterious and whimsical. Beauty and beasts, along with animated characters and their adventures, often bring back images from childhood books and visual productions on the “big screen” for so many people.

Tri-Cities High School’s Visual & Performing Arts Magnet Program has many talented students that are taking great strides to expose the importance of the arts to the community and nationwide. Last year, the musical “The Wiz” was a major success with all sold-out shows. The institution ranks high in artistic excellence, along with being the Region 5-AAAAAA 2019 Basketball State Champions.
