Principal's Corner

Dear Hillside Families,

It seems like not that long ago that I was standing outside watching the sun rise on the hill for the first day of school. As they do, another school year has flown by. And again, Hillside's students have grown and shone over that time. Please enjoy some student achievement highlights below, and enjoy a restful summer. You and your kids have earned it!

Gratefully,

William R. Jones

8th Grade Band - State Champions

On Friday, May 4, the 8th grade band put on a spectacular performance at the State Band Festival. They earned a First Division at and are now considered to be a State Champion band in Class A.

Congratulations to the band members and to Mr. Rumbell, recently nominated by his peers for the final ballot for MSBOA Teacher of the Year. Final voting will take place next year. Best of luck and a well-deserved honor.

The video below is not from that performance but from the end of year performance at Hillside. It is easy to recognize a champion-level performance.
