A Note From the Director
This week felt like autumn around the ECDC. We learned the life cycle of pumpkins, made pumpkin muffins, roasted seeds, and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. In music we danced fast and slow to loud and soft music and pretended to be falling leaves. In art we learned how to tint and shade color and created monochromatic paintings.
Don't forget this Sunday is Trunk or Treat from 2:00-3:30pm in the ECDC parking lot.
If you would like to participate in our pumpkin decorating contest, simply create a pumpkin and drop it off at the ECDC on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat is a beloved Marquette tradition, where parents decorate and open their trunks to the cutest trick-or treaters around! It’s a great way to see friends, get to know families, and trick or treat in a safe environment.
Trunk or Treat will be this Sunday, October 24th, from 2-3:30 in the ECDC parking lot.

MHSA Corner
It has been a busy month for the MHSA! First and foremost, thank you to everyone who was involved with Trivia Night--it was a huge success. With November right around the corner, work is in high gear for the annual Marquette Auction. We are thrilled to have it back in-person this year, and hope you will make plans to attend as this is the school's single largest fundraising event. Most immediately though is Trunk or Treat. Join us in the ECDC parking lot this Sunday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for candy, music, games and a good time. Thank you to everyone who makes the work of the MHSA possible. Below you will find some highlights from the past (busy!) month.

Dessert Auction
It's time for the auction, so that means it's time for the Dessert Auction! We are bringing it back!! We are thrilled to be having an in person auction this year and want to have as many beautiful desserts to auction off as possible. We are looking for desserts of all kinds--they can be homemade or bought/donated from your favorite bakery or restaurant. We will have drop off times on November 12th at the ECDC parking lot or in either the ECDC office or the Marquette office or if you need to drop off earlier we can make arrangements.
As always, whatever the desserts are brought on will be part of the donation. If you want to buy a cute cake stand or plate that would be great, and if not we will have plastic cake plates available for store bought desserts. Please list what you are planning on bringing in the comments section so we don't have all of the same kind of dessert!!
We are excited to see all the beautiful desserts, thank you for your help making this a great success!!

Supporting the Auction
We will continue accepting donations of wine for the Wine Pull through Monday, November 8th. PLEASE MAKE SURE EACH BOTTLE OF WINE IS AT LEAST $20 IN VALUE. You may drop off wine at arrival or dismissal at the ECDC. If you are able to contribute, then your child is allowed to wear “athletic (free) dress” the day you make your wine donation.
Of course other donations are always welcome too! If you have access to goods, services, gift cards, etc. you may drop them at the school entrance on the following days:
- October 29
All items donated are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. If you are able to donate, your Marquette/ECDC student is allowed to wear “athletic (free) dress” on that donation drop-off day.
If you have questions about donations or have something large to donate to the auction, please contact Kayley Nammari (kayley.nammari@gmail.com | (713)540-4322) or Paula Dunkel (paulamdunkel@gmail.com | (918)706-0003. Additionally, to keep up with the latest information visit our Facebook page or follow us on Instagram.
