Week 14

The weekly readers are an important part of our curriculum. Your child should be successful with them, because they focus on both the letter of the week and the sight words taught so far. Reading the readers at least 3 times a week at home significantly helps your child become a more successful reader, so we thank you for making that a regular part of your evening routine. Please remember that they are due back on Thursdays, and your child receives a sticker in their Braum's reading program booklet. Most students are very close to receiving a free single dip cone!

*Note - We will be sending readers home next week, but not the week of December 14th. We will resume readers after Winter Break.

Texas Weather!

If you've lived in Texas for even a short time, you know how unpredictable our weather can be. We don't go out to recess when it's raining, very muddy, or too icy, but we DO go out in cold - even freezing - weather. Please keep an eye on the weather each day, and make sure that your child has appropriate clothing/outerwear. 30 minutes can feel like an eternity when you're freezing!
