W.T. White B-Tech Students Active in Extracurricular Activities.
We are thrilled to have 70 students who are participating in extracurricular activities this school year! Students and sponsors have really stepped up to find creative ways to engage in all that W.T. White High School offers. Students are involved in athletics, fine arts, and other school clubs. Students, we encourage you to get connected in our learning community as there is an abundance of opportunities.

Student Led Learning
Students collaborate, share ideas, and own the learning in their MAPS Course (Methodology for Academic and Personal Success) taught by Ms. Woods.
Student Centered Learning
Students participate in a hands on lab in Dr. Parnell's Pre-AP Biology class on the function of enzymes.
BCIS - Freshmen Excel in College Course
A very special thank you to Brookhaven Professor Ahmad Zein for demonstrating Longhorn P.R.I.D.E. (Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence) daily when working with W.T. White B-Tech Students.
We are excited because of the results we are seeing with freshmen in their first college course!

Our team thoroughly enjoyed meeting on September 12th with members of Dallas ISD's Human Capital Management Team to discuss an upcoming speaker series, site visits, and future student internships. Big things are happening in Dallas ISD and we are fortunate to impact the education industry at the W.T. White B-Tech.
W.T. White B-Tech Counselor, Juanita Beck (who is also a Brookhaven College staff member) collaborates with Brookhaven College Academic Advisor, Janice Lader, on our upcoming TSI Bootcamp. The TSI Bootcamp will take place on site at the W.T. White B-Tech on 10/31/17,11/2/17, and 11/7/17. We are thrilled to work with Brookhaven College on TSI to ensure the success of all students!

ECHS Training and Professional Development
We are grateful for the amazing training and support that we have received from Tracey Hurst. Our teachers are working incredibly hard to support all students and implement new strategies that build instructional coherence.
Instructional Rounds
This week we hosted instructional rounds with special guests from Dallas ISD to help us improve questioning in the classroom that promotes authentic student dialogue. We received excellent feedback that will help us continue to bring learning to life! A special thank you to Ms. Robertson and Ms. Amy for allowing us to visit your classrooms.
