Happening this week...

The 4th six weeks grading period ends this Friday, February 16. Please check all grades in Skyward this week to be sure all work is completed.


Early release day is Friday February 16 at 12:00. Monday, February 19 is a student holiday. Enjoy your long weekend.

This week, we are continuing our work in Now We’re Cooking! A unit on energy transformation.

Accelerated Science ~ Mrs. Irons

This week we will start our unit on Seasons, Moon Phases, and Tides. We will be taking a Science Benchmark on Wednesday. Results will be put in Skyward as a "no count" grade.

Pre-AP Math ~ Mrs. Justice, Ms. Gregg and Ms. Parker

This week we will continue with our unit over expressions, equations, and relationships. Students will continue working with solving equations and inequalities. The Module 13 test will be on Friday, February 16th.

This week we will be wrapping up our unit over Linear Relationships. Students will be testing over this unit on Friday, February 16th.

Humanities ~ Mrs. Moore, Ms. Lindamood, Mrs. Strother and Ms. Peden

Students will be concluding the Africa unit with a test Monday, February 12. Please find the review for the test on Google Classroom and complete the bonus point activity. Students will wrap up the novel unit, A Long Walk to Water, by composing an expository writing.

Global Business and Professional Communication ~ Ms. Tedford and Ms. Owen


This week students will be sharing the projects they have been creating to show their personal global marketability. We will finish our first unit this week by sharing our projects at our class job fair! Check your email.

Art ~ Mrs. Beam

  • This week we will continue our work on one point perspective drawing. Students will select from a variety of approaches for their final artworks.

  • These drawings will be due next week.


Beginning Band ~ Mr. Sypert

Students are preparing for their next chair test, working on their weekly scale assignments and beginning to look at their end of year solos. Please help make sure they are practicing and completing their weekly video assignments.

P.E. ~ Coach Dunson

We will wrap up our Lacrosse unit with match play (weather permitting). Be sure to bring your uniform daily as well as appropriate outerwear for outside conditions. Thank you for your patience and flexibility of playing creative indoor activities last week.
