A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
It was a lot of fun seeing our students enjoying themselves during their classroom Valentine's Day parties on Monday. Thank you to the room parents for supporting our teachers to make this event fun and exciting for the students.
Also, I want to acknowledge how proud I am of our Paddock staff and community regarding their handling of last week's uncertainty surrounding masking in District 15. Despite some differing opinions on how to best move forward, everyone, staff and families alike, remained focused on what is most important: our students' education. Everyone I have spoken to, even when there was disagreement, communicated respectfully, with understanding, and displayed empathy towards others. Our students reflected these same character traits on Friday, allowing our learning environment to stay positive and productive.
Seeing the way Paddock's staff and community responded during this complex situation has made me even more grateful to be the Principal of our wonderful school. Thank you all!
Sincerely-
Jason Christ
Principal

IAR Testing
Each year, all Illinois public schools are required to administer an assessment that measures the academic achievement of students in grades 3-8. This assessment, the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) measures student achievement in English/Language Arts and Math and is designed to help schools track each student’s progress toward college and career readiness. Additional information about IAR, parent resources, and sample tests can be found on the District 15 website.
Paddock students in 3rd-6th grade will be taking the IAR test March 7th - March 14th. Please reach out to your classroom teacher with any questions.

5 Essentials Survey
The parent survey is to be completed by parents, guardians, or other caregivers with a child in grades pre kindergarten through 12. We need at least 20% of parents to complete the survey for results to be included in our final report. The parent survey is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. To complete the parent survey, please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/ and:
- Select Parent survey
- Type County where school is located (Cook)
- Type in schools name (Stuart R Paddock)
For more information about the Illinois 5Essentials Survey, please visit https://www.isbe.net/Pages/5Essentials-Survey.aspx.
2022-2023 Student Registration
Online student registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open. If you have not already started this process for your student(s), please visit our registration page to start this process.
Registration is the first step in getting ready for the up-coming school year. After you register your child online you need to:
Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid.
If you have a student that is starting Kindergarten, entering fourth grade, or entering 7th grade, you are required to prove residency in District 15. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
All three steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year. Students of families that, when required, do not prove residency, will not be able to attend class in a District 15 school until the family’s residency is verified.
Community Closet
We are hoping you can help by donating any unwanted clothing items to your school’s yellow clothing donation bin. The bin is located in Paddock's school lobby. Parents or children can place clothing items into their school’s yellow bin during regular school hours. This is a great way to put your children’s gently used and outgrown clothing to good use! All clothing, especially winter wear, is much appreciated and will be put to good use.
