Teaching and Learning Corner
iReady Benchmark: Due to weather and WiFi issues, we are continuing testing this week. Your grade team leads should have communicated this week’s testing schedule to complete the diagnostic. Please continue to set your scholars up for success by providing scratch paper and a quiet learning environment.
Look For:
- Instructional: Mini Lesson: Check for Understanding: As you plan your mini-lesson, ensure you set up a series of checks for understanding to ensure scholars are internalizing the lesson. A CFU should poll the entire group in order to ensure ALL scholars are following the lesson.
- Cultural: Relationship Building: “The strength of our student relationships makes the difference in translating our passion for teaching into their passion for learning.” Beth Morrow
Upcoming Professional Development
- Feb. 27th: Data & Planning
- Mar. 6th: Restorative Training
- March 20th: PSSA Training
