Welcome to 4th Grade
With Mrs. Weston at Mt. Rock Elementary School!
Welcome!
I am so excited to begin our new school year! This means a fresh start for each and every person and I hope that we all take advantage of that. I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing an action packed year!
Who is Mrs. Weston?
You may remember me Miss Fraker, but I just got married over the summer!
I am a graduate of Shippensburg University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am working towards my master’s degree in Reading. This will be my sixth year teaching fourth grade at Mount Rock Elementary.
I have two redbone coonhounds named Reba and Fancy, with whom I enjoy spending my time. I enjoy the outdoors, walking my dogs, and spending time with my family and friends.
I am an advocate for all children and I truly believe that each and every one of them is a special gift to our school. I will do my best to actively engage students in their learning and keep parents informed.
Student Concerns
If you have any concerns, question, or information about your child throughout the school year that you feel I need to know, please contact me by phone or e-mail. I can be reached at school at 776-2425 or you may also e-mail me at hfraker@bigspring.k12.pa.us.
Expectations
Students are expected to be respectful, be responsible, and to be polite. I use cooperative learning strategies in my room because learning is an active and social process. I also use a wide variety of teaching and assessment tools that address a wide variety of learning styles of all students. By doing this, I hope to make the learning process meaningful and enjoyable for everyone.
As your child’s primary caregiver, you are the most important person in your child’s life. We need to work together for your child’s benefit. I need your support for the homework assignments, academic goals, and classroom management plans. With school and home working together, I know your child will have a successful year!
