Nuts and Bolts
- Mr. Treadaway has an extra Concord Basketball jacket, size medium, for 36$. Please let him know if you're interested.
- Many of you know Mr. Jeff Walter is only officially here as an intern through mid-December when he finishes his semester at High Point University. He has learned that he has been assigned to Winkler beginning mid-December through early March for an administrative maternity leave. We hope to welcome him back once the leave is over, but he is officially classified as an "administrator on special assignment," so it just depends! It's been a true pleasure to have him as a Miner, and we hope to have him back soon!
- With the colder weather and activity time, it's important to remind your students to bring jackets to school and to wear them out to activity time.
- Please remember headphones are not to be worn in the hallways and cell phones should not be out in the hallways.
- Master calendars for CMS are ALL housed in google calendar, of which all of you have access to. You can book the LGIA, aux gym, main gym, and other school wide events via this cal. Please refer to it before setting any dates, and ask Ms. Foster if you have any questions.
- Benchmark #2 will take January 11 - January 19th: please make sure you are present during these days as we will need all hands on deck for testing.
BUS!!!!
Please complete the form for your 10 students on or BEFORE November 20th at 4:00pm!!!

8th graders who are interested in participating in the IB program at Concord High next year will take a field trip on December 5 from 12:30 to 3:30. Invitations were distributed through Math I and Math II classes and also by special request. Here is the list of students attending.
7th graders will hear from a guest entrepreneur from Junior Achievement during Miner Time on November 30. Social studies teachers will be giving students information about the entrepreneur prior to the visit. Please follow the following routine:
- show announcements quickly, remind them to be respectful and good listeners
- lead students to the LGIA ASAP with their belongings

Student Attendance
Attendance school wide looks really good compared to last year! Please continue to contact counselors to alert them of any suspicious issues with attendance. Better to be proactive rather than reactive with attendance. If students aren’t here; they aren’t learning.
Next CMS Fundraiser!!!
Fundraiser with Speedway Christmas: December 11th... go to the Christmas light celebration at the speedway (20$ per car) and CMS will receive a 2$ donation from EVERY CAR that comes through the event that evening!
Chromebook Reminders
- Please help us save money by checking to see that the students are carrying their Chromebooks properly while moving down the halls and in class. While in motion, the Chromebooks should be closed and the case zipped shut. The safest way to carry it is by the handle or in the pizza hold.
- Please check at the end of each day that all Chromebooks that were assigned to your cart have been returned and in the proper spots in the cart.
- We need to lock our carts at the end of the day due to some Chromebooks going missing. If you do not have a key, then please see Ms. Wagner on either Monday or Tuesday of next week to get a key. Please make sure all carts are locked over Thanksgiving break.
- More changes with the submission of work orders will be coming next week that will be effective after the break. Please pay close attention to new directions that will help make everything go smoother for us all. Until then, 4A teachers are responsible for submitting the work order. Please do not send students to the front office, but instead, send me an email and I will call down the student from class. Again, this procedure will change after Thanksgiving.

Important Reminders for Evacuation Drills - Please Read Carefully!
Teachers, the process for Evacuation Drills is as follows:
- Use the closest door to your classroom to exit the building.
- Bring your red folder.
- Walk your students to the football field and have your class line up in its appointed spot. A map of your location was provided in the Crisis Managment Plan placed in your box at the beginning of the year.
- If you have any questions, please see Mr. Walter or Mr. Lord.
8th grade teachers, please note...
High school Program Choice applications have begun. Please know that some 8th grade students may ask you to fill out a teacher recommendation. These recommendations need to be returned to Ms. Duncan by December 20th, in a sealed enveloped with a signature across the seal.
