Jay Gallentine
Space historian focusing primarily on unmanned planetary exploration. He has a reputation for stripping away technobabble to focus on the intimate human stories behind space missions. His lively and animated public talks have been well-received in classrooms, at science museums and comic-cons, and at space-themed conferences.
His first book, Ambassadors from Earth, broke new ground with its detailed account of the turbulent waters of gravity-assist history. Jay’s next book, Infinity Beckoned, will be released in the Fall of 2015.

What is the application process?

IdeaFestival sounds AMAZING! How do I get there?
If you are selected to attend you will meet in Ms. Colbert's room at DCHS very, very, early in the morning on Friday, October 2. (4:45 AM).
IT WILL BE WORTH IT!
The bus leaves at 5:00 AM sharp.
The bus returns at 5:30 PM.
You need to provide your own transportation to and from DCHS.
When will I know if I'm selected?
The students selected to attend IdeaFestival will be notified on Monday, September 28.
