Bond Update
Granger Families,
It’s such an exciting time of year, but there is SO much going on. Spring is loaded with activities and events.
We had kids make the Central Texas Honor Band, We have the Football 2A Offensive Player of the Year, We have multiple athletes selected to All-Star Games and more.
Basketball, Powerlifting, Softball, and Track are all about to be in full swing!
What’s even more fun is how the GYAA has all the activities going on and how strongly they are serving our youth.
Just a quick update on our bond projects:
We have had multiple surveys done that are required by law. The last one was an Archeological Survey. They found a foundation piece from a home in the early 1900’s on the land. Thankfully, Mr. Matulla, the former owner, donated deeds on the property that date back to 1872. It’s very interesting to see the history, which we will most definitely preserve on display. Once that piece wraps up, we will get clearance on that end.
As far as the Bond Projects, our last Board Meeting the Architects presented models of what the exterior facilities would look like. We are in the Design Development phase now and will soon be in Construction Documents. Then once complete, we are off to bid.
Our next steps are to finish the interior design and then they finalize their drawings and we will go out for bid. When bids come back in, legal will help us finalize contracts to get started. We have many people that have let us know they would be interested in providing services. When the bidding process is happening, we will ensure that our community knows how to submit their bid, along with putting it in the papers. If you are interested in bidding on a project, please communicate with myself or Mr. Abbott so that we can make sure that you receive a bid packet.
At this time, we are anticipating that we will break ground in June or July of this year. They told us June at the last board meeting, so that is not far off.
Thank you for your patience with this… once we get ready for construction on the High School, then we will begin working on the next phase.
We Fight Together!
Ms. Neatherlin

Riddles
A: A hole.
One day, a magician was boasting about how long he could hold his breath underwater. His record was 6 minutes. A kid that was listening said, “that’s nothing, I can stay underwater for 10 minutes using no equipment or air pockets!” The magician told the kid if he could do that, he’d give him $10,000. The kid did it and won the money. How?
A: He filled a glass of water and held it above his head for 10 minutes.
