A Little Princess

fiction

Theme

The theme of A Little Princess by Frances Hodges Burnett is that your imagination will help you and others through the high and lows of life. Imagination can help through the highs by helping others for example on page 48 chapter 4 "i will be your mamma' said Sara 'we will play that you are my little girl. And Emily shall be your sister". Imagination can also help you through the highs for example on page 220 chapter 15 "how nice a red rug would look on the floor' exclaimed Sara 'we must pretend there is one". The first example shows how when Sara was rich she used her imagination to help others through tough times, and the second examples shows how Sara used her imagination to help her self in hard times. The theme of A little princess by Frances Hodges Burnett is that your imagination will help you and others through the highs and lows of life.
