Sampling event at pick up this Wed 8/28
Turnips are loaded with fiber and vitamins K, A, C, E, B1, B3, B5, B6, B2 and folate (one of the B vitamins), as well as minerals like manganese, potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and copper. They are also a good source of phosphorus, omega-3 fatty acids and protein. The lactobacilli which produce lactic acid during the natural pickling process improves digestion and produces enzymes that work towards strengthening our immune system. Fermenting the turnips actually boost their vitamin and antioxidant content!
Some ways to use: chop and add to green salad, use the brine to make your own probiotic salad dressing, dice up and add to potato salad, slice as side to curry dish or simply just have a few as a healthy probiotic snack!
You can order this item on the market this weekend as well. https://suwanee.locallygrown.net/market/index/100148

Eggs
Sarah, from Restored Earth Farm, has chickens just now laying eggs to help fill any potential egg gaps. She has a mix of olive green, blue, brown, and white eggs from free range chickens given ORGANIC feed! These eggs are small because they are the first eggs from this flock. She will only list a few.
May God bless our farmers that endure this heat to bring us amazing produce, milk, meat, eggs and endure this heat!!

Build out Update
Update: Continued progress this week! Bathroom is pretty much finished, now we're just waiting on inspection so we can get electrical done and inspected. New website is almost done and I hope to launch in the next couple of weeks. I'll continue to keep you all posted and give everyone plenty of notice before we move. As of right now we are probably still a couple of months out depending on how inspections go.
If you are a new member you may not know about this. Please check out this information about upcoming changes to the market. Please read letter below and/or watch video.

PLEASE HELP! Volunteers Needed at pick up!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Since I'm not sure when the new store will open up I went ahead a created Volunteer schedule until end of October. Hopefully we'll be at new location sooner... Please click link below if you can help!
Please consider volunteering during market pick up. I can’t run the market without your help! Shifts are 1 hour long and go by really fast. It's a great opportunity to meet and help your fellow members!
Thank you Jocelyn, Melanie, Chuck, Gwen, and Miki for volunteering last Wednesday! We couldn't have the co-op without our amazing volunteers!!
If you are interested in volunteering but unsure exactly what that involves, please let Nora know and she will do a quick "volunteer orientation" with you on a day/time that you pick up.
