Vision Board Party– Tuesday, January 3rd at 6PM

What's your vision for the New Year? A vision board is a tool to help clarify, concentrate and maintain a specific or set of life goals. Come make yours! Be sure to bring magazines, print outs of images and quotes you’d like displayed on your personal board!

Genealogy Organization– Thursday, January 5th at 5:30 PM

Lillian Wingate, Statesboro Library’s Genealogy and Local History Coordinator will show the group step by step how to organize a family research project demonstrating the basic supplies needed. Sign up in the Genealogy Department.***Please bring a 3”ring binder, 5 tabbed dividers, clear sleeves that go into the binder, and assorted writing implements.

Lillian Wingate, Statesboro Library’s Genealogy and Local History Coordinator will show patrons the features and benefits of HeritageQuest over Ancestry.com. Limited to adults.

Book-to-Movie Book Club: Memoirs of a Geisha– Tuesday, January 10th at 6PM

Are you one to read a book and critique the movie that follows? Join a group that shares your passion and share your opinion with others! Sign up is required!

DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub– Thursday, January 12th at 6PM

Creative Writing with Betty Franklin– Thursday, January 19th and 26th at 3-5PM

Join us in a series of classes on writing creative nonfiction composition. We will meet from 3-5 pm every Thursday for the next eight weeks – through March 9th.

Asian Drama Fan Club– Tuesday, January 24th at 6PM

Members will watch and discuss various first episodes of Asian drama. Come commune with those who share an interest in Asian culture! Hosted by librarian, Marion Kuehne. Ages 15 and up.

Friends of the Library Book Sale– Friday, January, 27 from 9am – 6 pm and Saturday, January 28 from 9 am – 2 pm

Stop in to uncover a hidden treasure, best-selling fiction authors (Patterson, Higgins-Clark, Picoult etc.) to non-fiction, travel, cooking, history and much more! Proceeds go toward continuing needs for the library!
