Lots of things happening right now! Please don't forget to send in the Walk for Diabetes envelopes on Friday. That is the only day they will be accepted.
We had a wonderful short week last week. There is a little tummy bug going around so be aware and discuss hand washing at home too.
We will not have spelling this week due to me being absent. The sub will be giving them a spelling test over words we work with all week in Tapping Out with Tiles.
I will have her send home a list on Friday, Oct. 19, of High Frequency Words to be used by the entire class as the spelling words for Friday, Oct. 26.
Have a great week!

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Language Arts-We read Literary Nonfiction stories. We read about a dog that finds fossils and lots of biographies.
Social Studies-We focused on famous Americans and the mark they made.
Science-We did a fun "who sank the boat" challenge to complete our combining matter unit. We looked at properties of different materials, made boats in small groups and then floated them and added weight with 10 pennies. We learned a lot and had fun too!
