All Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for youth sports will be mandated.

All participants must complete the prescreening sheet and sign the COVID-19 waiver prior to participating in any BBE activities.

All participants Kindergarten and older must wear a mask at all inside CE events as per the MN Executive Order 20-81.

Classroom Driver's Ed

Classroom Driver's Ed

This class fulfills the state mandated 30-hours of classroom instruction in drivers training. Upon completion of the course, students receive a blue card as certification of course completion. When applying for a permit, the student must bring their blue card and one form of legal identification along. Classroom training should be done when the student is close to 15 years old. Students cannot apply for their permit until they are 15 years old. Students must have their permit for 6 months before applying for a driver s license. The fee includes a $20 non-refundable deposit for Behind the Wheel training.


Dates: November 30, December 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Time: Weekdays (4-7pm), Saturdays (8-11am), Sundays (1-4pm)

Location: via Zoom Meeting or at the HS in Belgrade (as permitted)

Fee: $130


All activities are for students in Grades K-12, unless noted otherwise.

Babysitting 101

Grades 3-6 are invited to attend our Babysitting 101 class! This course follows the American Academy of Pediatrics Babysitter Lessons And Safety Training (BLAST). Students learn current practices for safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants, how to handle behavior problems, and how to manage their babysitting business. Students receive a reference book, game handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Bring a sack lunch and beverage. Please drop off and pick up your student at the main door.
Minimum of 10 students, maximum of 20 students.
Register by October 28th.

F.A.S.T. Kids - Staying Safe While Home Alone

First Aid and Safety Trained (F.A.S.T.) Kids is a 4-hour course for 7 – 10 year olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger and internet safety. Students will receive a book, handouts and a home first aid kit as part of the class.
Minimum 10 students Maximum 25 students.
Register by Monday, November 9.

Apps, WIFI, smart phones, and more! Are you feeling “out of the loop” in regards to technology? Join a member from BBE’s tech team to get back into the loop. Register to receive a personalized Zoom meeting with a tech team member to work through your techy frustrations individually!

Composts & Mulches Zoom Class

Composts and Mulches Composts and mulches are nature s way of recycling; keeps waste out of landfills, and it fertilizes without chemicals. It s a great way to turn wood chips, vegetable and yard trimmings into a dark, crumbly fertile soil. Make your garden happy and help the environment. Learn how to use a variety of composts and the various mulches out there for all your planting and landscaping needs whether you make them yourself or buy them off the shelf. The pros, the cons, and everything in between. Register by November 1st. Registered participants will receive a PDF version of the PowerPoint along with the Zoom link prior to class.

Backyard Habitat Zoom Class

Backyard Habitat (Fall Edition)
It is all about the birds and bees and butterflies. Come learn about how to attract more pollinators and songbirds to your backyards by making some simple changes and additions. We will specifically be focusing on the fall and winter season for your efforts. We will also discuss various species of pollinators and what perennial plants will have them buzzing to your backyards next spring. Register by October 18th. Registered participants will receive a PDF version of the PowerPoint along with the Zoom link prior to class.
