PTA Invest In Your Child
We Still Need Families to Invest In Your Child
Box Office Goal: $16,000
Donations To Date: $ 5,380
If you haven’t donated to the Invest In Your Child fundraising campaign, please make a donation. This is our main source of raising funds for the PTA. This campaign is not the same as joining the PTA. You do not need to be a PTA member to donate to IIYC. Your child and Silver Springs benefit from money raised by the PTA. The learning resources like IXL, BrainPop, and Time For Kids, which the PTA funds cost over $7,000. Our JES program which covers assemblies, Science Alive, and March Is Reading Month is about $9,000. In order to put on all our PTA sponsored events and activities, we need your help and support. Thank you to the families that have contributed so far. It is greatly appreciated. You are all STARS that help make Silver Springs a great place to learn and come together as a community.
We did not reach our goal last week, but if we can reach $7,000 by Thursday…it will be HAT Day to celebrate!
Give what you can, it all makes a difference!
SCHOOL-WIDE T-SHIRT ORDER!
Silver Springs Families~
Last week, we asked all students to submit t-shirt designs for a school-wide contest! These t-shirts can be worn at all school-wide assemblies, class field trips, Leadership Day (Dec.8th) and on NEST days (neighbors–varying aged students, enthusiastically synergizing together).
To express our school unity, we are hoping that every student and staff member order one t-shirt to be worn on the days listed above. These t-shirts will be used for the next two years, so please order accordingly.
ORDERS AND PAYMENT OF ONLY $5 ARE DUE ON NOVEMBER 7TH. T-shirt sizing chart is printed on the reverse side for your convenience. If you have any questions or if ordering this t-shirt presents a financial hardship for your family, please contact Tanya Murphy (murphyta@northvilleschools.org) in the front office for assistance.

Supporting the The 7 Habits at home!
Habit 1 – Be Proactive – “I’m in Charge of Me”
What this means: Take charge of your own life. Make it happen. Don't wait for someone else to do it.
“I am responsible for me.”
“I do the right thing before I am asked.”
“I do the right thing even when no one is looking.”
“I do not blame others for my actions.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. If you do something wrong, say you are sorry before someone asks you to apologize.
2. When you get mad and want to say something, stop, think, and ask yourself-
Why am I getting so angry? Make a good choice in a good way.
