Activity Buses

Activity buses run Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The intent in providing these Activity Buses is to enable more of our students to participate in school activities, clubs, sports or remedial help as appropriate. On these days, our Library Media Center will also be open in order to enable students to complete homework, engage in research or to provide a quiet place to study under teacher supervision until 4:10 pm, buses leave parking lot at 4:15 pm. We encourage you, as parents, to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity from which ultimately your children benefit.

The routes drop off in the neighborhood, not necessarily your normal drop off corner. Bus schedules will be available to pick up in the office on Wednesday, August 25th. Have your student stop by so you can look over where the bus would drop off your student.

Your student will bring home a sheet of paper showing their schedule for you to follow. This is a great night for you to meet all your student's teachers and ask any questions you may have.

This is an evening just for parents to meet the teachers and learn about the curriculum and instruction for the year.

We hope to see you there!

Annual Safety Drills

We will be conducting our annual safety drills next week. As part of the school safety plan, we will walk through them for practice. The drills include a fire drill, a lockdown drill, a shelter-in-place drill, and a bus evacuation drill. These will be practice and education for the students and staff. The community resource partners will join us at a later date to go through the drills together with us. This will include the Crystal Lake Police Department and the Crystal Lake Fire Department. If you would like for your student to opt out of the drills, please call the office before next Wednesday to let us know. Students who do not participate in these drills will be instructed in the safety procedures but will not do the actual drill.
