End of Year Information May 2022
*New: Please have students arrive promptly by 5:15pm to have time to line up with their class. Please make sure students wear flat shoes, as they will be walking up/down bleachers during the ceremony. This is a very special occasion for our 5th graders. We would love to see everyone dressed in their best attire.
Students Must Arrive by 5:15pm to Line Up for the Processional!
Will tickets be mandatory? Yes, since this event will be held inside, we will require tickets. Based on the capacity of the gym, each 5th grade student will be assigned four tickets. Tickets may be used for no more than 4 people. It is up to the family if you want those 4 tickets to be for siblings, parents, etc. but the limit is 4 tickets. There are no exceptions. Tickets will be collected at the door. Thanks in advance for understanding.
In-Person students will have their tickets placed in their Friday Folder on May 13th.
Digital student parents may come sign for and pick up their tickets Monday, May 16-May 19th from 8:30am-3:30pm
Will there be transportation provided to the event? No, parents will be responsible for bringing their 5th grade student, staying during the program and picking them up from the teacher at the end of the program. There are no "drop offs' for this event. Parents will have to drive their student to the event and stay.
Are digital students invited? Absolutely! We would love to see all of our students at the awards ceremony.
Will the event be live-streamed? No, unfortunately, at the school will not be able to live stream the event but we will record the event. The link will be on our eClass landing page!
Is attendance required? No, we understand you may have a prior commitment or not able to attend.
We will send more details as they become available, but if you think of a question please email your child's teacher or Ms. Hicks at jennifer.d.hicks@gcpsk12.org
Please come back to this page often, as we will make updates weekly!
