Harbor Heights On the Horizon
3/1 - 3/5
I am so proud to be at Harbor Heights, where our staff and students are working so hard to help each family represented at our school to be successful!
Never have we been in such a historic time of needing each other to thrive in a learning community. Our staff has truly put together a phenomenal platform to best support students in a 4 day per week model of in-person instruction. Thank you parents for supporting your child at home. As we look at recent student data, I am amazed at the growth already achieved by our Orca students. A love for reading, increased reading at home, appreciating hardcopy books, and increased reading fluency is evident in our school population K-5! What a great time to engage in our Read and Lead program, especially this week with Read Across America. Here is a link from the NEA, but see information below about Read and Lead at HHES. We still have room for improvement but with all of the changes throughout the year, we should be proud of our progress already evident in 2021.

Reminders
Daily Attestation 1/2 sheets
Please ensure each of your children has a completed and signed Health Screening Attestation forms every day. To avoid a call home before school even starts for your child, please double check that your child(ren) know the routine. Please email your teacher or call the office at 530.1800 if you did not receive enough paper forms that are sent home each week. We also have copies outside the school. We have made some calls to parents when completed forms have been in a backpack or lunchbox, please let us know how we can help since incomplete or missing forms can cause a bit of anxiety for students and slows down the arrival process.
Mask Wear
Help your child at school by ensuring their mask fits well and does not slip off their nose. It really helps if the mask that you send your child with is clean and fits comfortably. If you do have questions or need help, please reach out to your teacher or call the office.
