The 2022-'23 School Year is Around the Corner!
Dear Carman Families,
I hope you have enjoyed a summer full of joy! Each year I always look forward to welcoming new and returning families to Carman Trails after the summer break.
For those of you that are new to Carman Trails, you will receive our parent newsletter that will typically come out on Sunday evenings and is intended for you to see by Monday morning. This edition is the first Paw Print for the new school year.
Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to read the information provided each week. It will help you feel more connected to what is going on in the school and community. In addition, it is recommended that you like Carman Trails Elementary on Facebook and download the Parkway School District app. Feel free to follow Parkway's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram too!

Our PTO Needs Your Help!
Carman families -
The PTO is providing a "Back to School Breakfast" for our amazing Carman Trails Teachers and Staff, and we need your help! Please click on the Sign-Up Genius link below -- there are many opportunities to bring in foods, drinks, paper plates, to help set up, etc.
Let's start our new school year off with some goodies for our teachers and staff! Your help is greatly appreciated!
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
9th - Optional Incoming Kindergarten Parent/Student Tour 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. (This is a Cougar Cub event. You do not need to attend if you have attended a previous tour or if your schedule doesn’t allow. You might have also attended one of the other tours over the summer.)
10th - Board of Education Meeting @ Parkway Welcome Center
11th - Virtual Kindergarten Orientation 6:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
18th - Meet the Teacher and Kona Ice 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
21st - Chalk the Walk at Carman! 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
22nd - THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Parents "Boohoo/Yahoo" Breakfast at 8:30 a.m.
24th - PTO sponsored Papa John's night fundraiser
26th - "Back to School Social" with Kona Ice 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
