This RtI Interventionist enjoys spending time with her family... especially her new baby girl, Aubrey. She also loves traveling, and her favorite destination is Hawaii. Thanks for all the work you do to support our students and staff, Mrs. White!!
Star Staffer Janet Self
Our amazing librarian is an avid reader who loves books... but you probably already knew that. She also has a knack for crafts and enjoys gardening & taking care of her animals. Thank you, Mrs. Self, for your calm and creative spirit.
Events & Reminders:
-EOY Check-out lists will begin the week of May 2 and continue throughout the month!!
-STAAR testing for 3rd, 4th , & 5th graders will be during the week of May 9th. Please refer to Flor's emails for details!
-5th Grade will host Mrs. Fusig's baby shower in the Science Lab on Thursday, May 12th at 3:30.
-Our 1st annual Orange You Glad Celebration will be held on May 13th. You are strongly encouraged to wear orange apparel... jeans are free with an orange top. Please see the sign-up poster in the lounge!
-5th grade students will visit HMS on Monday, May 16th.
-3rd grade Bridging Event will be held on Monday, May 16th at 6:00.
-4th grade Bridging Event will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:00.
-The final NEST meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 18th following dismissal.
-BOGO Book Fair will be held on May 19-20.
-1st grade Bridging Event will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 6:00.
-Super Kids Day will be held on Friday, May 20th!!
-EOY DRAs should be completed by Friday, May 20th. Lists of scores are due to Sutton by Monday, May 23rd.
-The week of May 23rd is College/Career Week.
-Monday, May 30th is a HOLIDAY!!!!!

Meet Kate Panda Bear!
Thank you to everyone who helped care for Gayle's "birthday gift" from one of our sweet students! Our little Panda found a permanent home with the Schone family!!

Congratulations to Ms. Seiler who was the big winner of our Staff Photo Wall contest this week! She spent lots of her spare time studying all of those sweet baby faces and came out victorious!!

Huge shout-out to this amazing staff! Thanks for all you do to make WPE "home" for your students and colleagues!! Hope you all enjoyed Teacher Appreciation Week... you are so deserving!

Heart-felt thanks to Mrs. Mason for the timely and relevant lesson on throwing away our worries... it had quite an impact!
Something to think about...
When I played with Michael Jordan on the Olympic team, there was a huge gap between his ability and the ability of the other great players on that team. But what impressed me was that he was always the first one on the floor and the last one to leave.
