Veterans Day - NO SCHOOL this Friday, Nov. 11

Honoring our Veterans

This Thursday, November 10, we will be recognizing Veterans Day with an all school virtual assembly. During the assembly we will be honoring veterans within our Discovery community. On Friday, there is no school as we honor our veterans and recognize Veterans Day.


If you have a family member you would like to honor in our Veteran’s Day Assembly in our Discovery Veteran’s Slideshow please send a picture to Ms. Bogart at bogartmt@mukilteo.wednet.edu. Please include the Veteran’s name, branch of service, and the name of the relation to the Discovery Student.


For example: Simon Rudnik, US Airforce, Father of Mrs. Bernstein.


Please submit to Ms. Bogart on or before the end of the school day on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Final Days to Make Your Vote Count

Tuesday, November 8, is voting day. Please remember to get your mail-in ballot turned in Nov. 8 before midnight. Did you already send in your ballot? Track your ballot to make sure it was received and complete (signature accepted, etc.).

Schoolwide Monthly Character Trait - Gratitude

Gratitude Grams and Food Drive

What: Students can write a note of gratitude to have delivered to a friend or staff member in exchange for a non-perishable food item donation.

Where: Students can bring in their canned food donation to the cafeteria before school to get a Gratitude Gram.

When: November 9-16

Why: To help our Food Backpack Program, and to practice our character trait of the month, Gratitude!

Most needed food items: Canned Soups, Macaroni and Cheese, Apple Sauce (Cups or Pouches), Canned Pasta Sauce, Oatmeal, Healthy Snacks (Granola Bars, Popcorn, etc.)
