How to book a careers appointment ⭐️
You can book a half an hour appointment with a careers adviser in advance. To do this pop into the Careers Centre or call us between 8.45am and 10am on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (01334 462688).
You can also now book an Afternoon Appointment on the day, online through CareerConnect. Sign in to CareerConnect via the Careers Centre homepage. Once into CareerConnect select ‘Book Appointment’ from the top banner. You can browse the appointments available for the day and book the time and adviser, which best suits you.
Bookings for Afternoon Appointments is open from 12.30pm on the same day.

A Career as a Curator
Part I: Scottish Modern Art 1900-1950
Part II: From Histroy of Art Student to Fine Art Professional
A senior curator, Alice Strang, from the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art will talk about her current exhibition and her new book. Alice will discuss her job as a curator, her experience working in the art market and will provide advice on how to go from being a History of Art student to a Fine Art professional.

Scottish Branch Undergraduate Psychology Conference 2018
24th March 2018, 9am-6pm GLASGOW
This conference is for Psychology students in their final year of studies and provides an opportunity for them to present and discuss their dissertation projects to their peers.
Third year students and students in early years are also welcome, space permitted.
We guarantee that the BPS Scottish Branch Undergraduate Conference 2018 in Glasgow will be a very memorable event!

National Insurance Numbers
If you intend to work while studying in the UK, an employer will require you to provide them with a National Insurance Number (NINo), so that they can pay your wages and make any applicable tax or national insurance deductions. UK residents are allocated a number automatically at the age of 16. However, European or International students will not have this number so will need to apply for one.

Life Sciences Internships Summer 2018 are now OPEN
The Scottish Life Sciences Internship Programme gives students paid, relevant work experience in the Life Sciences sector. Placements last from ten to twelve weeks between June to September each year. Opportunities for the 2018 Programme will be advertised from Friday 16th February to Sunday 11th March 2018.
