Congratulations to the 341 students who were honored in last week's Honors Day Program! These students worked hard and stayed the course earning ALL A's or ALL A's and B's for the Spring 2021 Semester. Continue to work hard and keep pushing forward. We are so proud of you!

We would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to the AMHS Chapter of PTSA for purchasing the honor pins for our deserving students after two years!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALWAYS SUPPORTING OUR SCHOLARS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS, AMHS Technology Student Association (TSA) !!!!

Congratulations to the AMHS TSA and the Advisors Mr. Roberts and Mrs. Mathieu for having a successful Fall Leadership Conference in Jekyll Island this weekend! The chapter received the Spirit Stick of Excellence for Leadership in the technical sessions and 8 members passed the state's men's test with Timi Adenuga receiving a perfect score. We are so proud of you!!!


The DeKalb County Chapter of the NAACP is seeking applicants to participate in their ACT-SO Academic Program. Students can participate in 33 categories such as STEM, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Humanities, Entrepreneurship, and Culinary. The deadline for application is this Sunday, November 14! Winter Sports are Here!!! Purchase tickets Online

Tickets for all DCSD sports can be purchased online at GOFAN. Tickets are released every Monday for that week's events. On the GOFAN site, search for Arabia Mountain High School and then complete the transaction to purchase tickets. Georgia Apply To College Month

Georgia Apply to College is part of the American College Application Campaign, a national initiative of ACT's Center for Equity in Learning to increase the number of students accessing postsecondary education. GAC is sponsored by the Georgia Student Finance Commission and is supported by Communities in Schools of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Education, the Georgia Independent College Association, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, the Technical College System of Georgia, and the University System of Georgia.

The goal of Georgia Apply to College (GAC) is to provide all Georgia high school seniors with the opportunity to apply to college with a focus on providing assistance to first-generation and underrepresented students as they navigate the college application process.

School Uniforms

Thank you for assisting us in maintaining the AMHS School Uniform Policy. The vast majority of our students are following the uniform policy. Please continue to remind your student to be in the appropriate school uniform daily. As a reminder, all students are expected to wear their navy Blazer each Monday for "Blazer Mondays." This is a required part of the AMHS uniform. Please review the uniform policy below with your student. Thank you in advance for assisting us with our uniform policy. Need a Chromebook

New student Chromebooks were delivered and issued last week. If your student needs a Chromebook. Please complete the DCSD Chromebook User Agreement and return it to Mr. Burd ( Once the user agreement is received, the student will be assigned a Chromebook. The user agreement form is linked below.
