Mrs. Waller's BHS Vocal Ens. Class

Assignments week of May 11-15, 2020

Are You Continuing to Warm-Up Every Day?

Here's your weekly reminder to be warming up every day. Keep drinking lots of water, don't scream your voice out, eat healthy foods. Any warm-ups are good for you as long as they don't hurt or strain your voice. It's up to you at this point to keep that elasticity, that range consistent and going. I'm including a really good one for you. I would suggest doing this particular warm-up as often as possible, at least 3-4 times a week. It can get confusing at the end because these singers have been doing that tuning exercise for a bit, but try to listen for your part and join along if possible.

Homework for the week

Your job this week is to think of music that would work well with choir next year. You can find music anywhere, on YouTube, on Give me 3 examples of what songs you like that the choir could potentially perform next year. Think about how difficult the piece is and if we have had the voices in the past couple of years to cover the parts. I also want you to include what makes each piece stand out to you and why you chose it. Send me your answers to
