Parent Inspiration (Support) Group - Thursday, March 21st
Our Parent Inspiration Group is where our families share triumphs and challenges while finding strength in each other's experiences and fostering a network of understanding and empathy. Join us as we uplift one another, offering encouragement and wisdom, and discover the power of solidarity in facing the joys and obstacles of parenting a child with special needs. You're not alone on this journey—let's inspire each other to embrace every moment. We will be meeting virtually from 6:00pm - 7:00pm!
Family Education Workshops- Wednesday, March 27th
This year we are expanding our family education workshops to include two attendance options:
- 11:00am - 12:30pm in person at Support Services (1900 Cougar Country Dr. Cedar Park, TX). There will also be a virtual option available for this time slot.
- 6:00 - 7:30pm virtual only
Choice Sessions:
- Self-Advocacy : Join our team as we discuss the power of self-advocacy and ways to build these skills at home. Through advocating for themselves, students develop vital life skills and take ownership of their choices and become empowered agents in their journey.
Coffee Chat Q&A: Do you have any questions? Would you like to know what resources are available? Our team would love to chat with you! We'll have partners from various departments available to chat with you.
Coffee with The PAC - Friday, April 12th
Join us for Coffee with the Special Programs Parent Advisory Council from 10am to 11am at Illuminate Coffee Bar (12129 N FM 620 #102, Austin, TX 78750). It's a perfect chance for our families to come together, mingle, and build connections within our community.

Special Programs Parent Advisory Council General Meeting - Tuesday, March 5th
Join us for our next Special Programs Parent Advisory Council General Meeting! This general meeting will be a chance for us to catch up on what we've achieved thus far, chat about our plans for the future of the Council, and get ready for the upcoming nominations needed for our executive council chairs that will be opening for the 2024-2024 school year. We really need your input to steer our efforts, so we can't wait to have you there, sharing your thoughts and ideas! We will be meeting in the library at Westside Elementary School from 5:30 - 7:00pm.
Coffee with The PAC - Friday, March 8th

TXP2P Pathways to Adulthood - Thursday, March 7th
Cynda Green and Adriana Valadez will be bringing Texas Parent 2 Parent's Pathways to Adulthood Training to LEO Center on Thursday, March 7th from 10:00am - 1:30pm. The Pathways to Adulthood training will provide families with the information and tools needed to plan for a young adult's life after high school. It is open to families of students of all ages whose children have a disability, chronic illness and mental health condition or other special healthcare needs and the professionals who work with them. TXP2P will be providing a light lunch for those in attendance. Click here to register for this special event.
