Principal's Message

There are only two more weeks left in this first semester! Wow, the time has definitely flown by! As we think back at the many celebrations, aha moments, and even frustrations one thing is clear, we have not lost sight of why we are here. For every time that you had to stay up until midnight, one or two in the morning grading papers or planning the next week lesson plans, I thank you. For the many hours trying to make sense of things that at first seem disconnected or unnecessary. (SLOs, PDPs, Data Walls, DOL trackers) I thank you. For the many hours you have devoted to making your teaching fun, engaging and rigorous, I thank you. Teaching is not easy. It takes hard work, dedication and most importantly commitment. Commitment is more than just compliance. Commitment is getting up every morning and giving yourself and your students another fresh start! It is believing that your attitude, behaviors and actions make a difference for our students and our school.

If you haven't figured out by know, I love quotes. I came across one recently that sums all of this by saying, "If you're going thru hell, keep going." I know at times it feels like we are going thru hell, but please I encourage you to keep going. Keep going for the 325 beautiful souls that walk thru our doors each morning! Keep going because you believe that Sudie Williams can be the best elementary in the nation! Keep going because you impact lives each day that you step thru our doors!

Let's keep going!

ACPs

As we approach ACP season, it is important to keep in mind that there will be a specific schedule given for each subject. ACPs can only last 2 hours maximum with only a couple of exceptions. It is expected that good instruction occur during the non testing blocks of time. Make plans to ensure that our students receive quality instruction each and every day in preparation for the end of the semester.
