Dismissal:
For parents who wish to sign their kids out of school at the end of field day (1:00) -
Please send a note in with your child in the morning, indicating that you plan to sign him/her out at the end of field day.
At about 12:50 PM, teachers and students will return to the classrooms to pick up backpacks, etc.
Parents will please line up at the parent pick up area outside the school, on the Case Street side
At 1:00, teachers will walk students to the main gym for pickup
At 1:00, parents sign out their students, using the sign-out sheets, from the main gym, just as they do at normal dismissal time.
4th and 5th grade walkers may walk home independently at the end of field day, if they have a note from a parent stating that they may do so
If parents are unable to sign children out at 1:00, students will then be dismissed according to their normal dismissal plan, unless we have a note stating otherwise.
Girl Scout Camp Scholarship information:
GSNENY has available scholarship funds to send 5 girls to Camp Meadowbrook day camp located in Queensbury, and 5 girls to Lake Clear Camp, an overnight camp located in Lake Clear (near Saranac Lake- transportation available from Lake George or Queensbury).
It is suggested that girls in grades K-5 could go to Camp Meadowbrook, and girls in grades 4+ would be best for Lake Clear Camp.
The girls do not need to be a current member, however GSNENY asks that the girls not yet be registered for one of our summer camps.
The girls/parents will need to submit a girl grant application and provide income verification as listed on the application as well as provide a completed health form (immunizations for both camps and a physical for Lake Clear Camp).
Annette German of GSNENY is happy to help parents complete the girl grant application and health form. She is available at: AGerman@girlscoutsneny.org
