The taste of this fruit has been described like a bland melon or kiwi to a mild sweetness. It has an oval or oblong shape and can be compared to the size of a grapefruit and grows on a cactus! It comes in a red, peach or yellow color, and has spike looking branch. The skin is poisonous and should not be consumed. Fiber, Protein, Carbs, Sugar, Vitamins and Minerals, and Calcium.
