Ms. Bella Hollback came back to McCord several weeks into the year, which is never an easy thing to do. However, with her kind disposition and work ethic, she has done a wonderful job of acclimating to our school. She is also a keen observer of life and is never afraid of a challenge or afraid to ask questions. We are very fortunate to now have Ms. Bella as part of our learning community.

Saif Alothman

Resilient Learner of the Month nominated by Ms. Smullen.

Saif has completely changed his mindset on how he wants to learn in my class. He comes to class everyday prepared with all of his materials, and ready to learn. Saif is always asking questions to deepen his understanding, along with asking critical thinking questions to encourage his peers to learn as well. He also has a sense of humor that he exposes when appropriate that creates a lot of smiles and laughter within the classroom. I sense that he has gained confidence here at McCord, and has taken a big step in his maturity. Saif is a delight in my classroom and I really enjoy watching him grow everyday.

When Dakota arrives at school he immediately goes to our Daily Living Skills Special Education Unit to help other students get off of the bus.
