St. Anne School Family Newsletter

March 3, 2021

Dear St. Anne Parents,

As you might have heard, San Francisco has lifted the mandatory quarantine order that was in place for travel. However, quarantining for 10 days for non-essential travel more that 120 miles or out of the state is still recommended. Our school will be following this new order. With Easter vacation coming up, I would like to strongly urge all our families to continue to practice during Easter break the safety and health guidelines we have been following this year. I understand how much everyone would like to get out of town and/or gather and enjoy the company of other families. Taking that risk, however, is potentially jeopardizing the health of all our students and staff here at school. The last thing that I would want to do is to have to close down the school for 10 days after Easter because we find multiple COVID cases in classes. I would like to sincerely ask EVERY family to stay vigilant. We are ALMOST to that time when the vaccine will have been distributed to a large percentage of our population and THEN people can be more assured of having safe healthy interaction with everyone. Thank you for your continued support to keep our students and staff safe AND our school open to in-person instruction. The specifics of the order can be read in the link here.

STUDENT HOLIDAY - FRIDAY, MARCH 5

"Student Holiday" this coming Friday, March 5th. School will resume on Monday, March 8th.

TEACHER/STAFF VACCINATIONS

This year has been another example of our faculty and staff's personal and professional commitment to our students. Knowing the potential COVID health implications, our faculty and staff have put themselves on the "firing line" each day working in-person with our wonderful students. I am happy to announce that as of today, we have 97% of our faculty and staff (Preschool - 8th grade) with their first or second vaccination! Thank you faculty and staff for exemplifying true Catholic educators !!

THIRD GRADE RECONCILIATION - FIRST COMMUNION

Our third grade students will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday, March 11, in preparation for their First Holy Communion which will take place on Saturday, March 20 at 11:00 in our church. I want to thank our teachers, Mrs. Alioto and Ms. Ruiz, for all that they have been doing to prepare our students. These children have been waiting a long time for this special day to come. Please join me and pray for these students as they continue on in their faith journey.

GIRLS' UNIFORM ISSUE

Dennis Uniform called to say that they inadvertently sold the wrong style jumper to a number of our families. Since not all students are here at school, I am sending this to everyone asking that you check to see that you were sold the correct style jumper for your daughter. The correct jumper is on the left side of the picture below. If you were sold the jumper displayed on the right side, please call Dennis Uniform and they will happily correct their error.

Thank you.
